This policy applies to visitors, account holders, members, newsletter subscribers, teachers, tutors and anyone who contacts Maths Teacher Hub through the website.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may process your name, email address, school or organisation details, account status, membership expiry date, contact messages, newsletter subscription status, saved favourites, resource activity, payment transaction references, technical logs and security information.
We do not intend to store raw payment-card numbers or card security codes in the Maths Teacher Hub database.
3. Account and membership information
When you create an account, we use the information you provide to create and secure the account, manage membership access, send essential account messages and provide member features such as favourites. Passwords are stored as password hashes rather than readable passwords.
4. Payments and PayPal
Membership payments are processed using PayPal. PayPal handles payment credentials within its own systems. Maths Teacher Hub may receive and retain information such as a PayPal order or transaction reference, amount, currency, payment status, date and information required to match the payment to your account.

5. Contact forms and messages
If you send an enquiry, we use the details you provide to read, manage and respond to the message. Contact messages may be retained for follow-up, support history, dispute handling or legitimate business records.
6. Newsletter and email communications
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is used to send the updates you requested. You can ask to unsubscribe at any time. Essential service emails, such as account, payment, security or renewal-related messages, may be sent where necessary to operate your membership.
7. Website usage and analytics
The website may record first-party usage events such as resource views, downloads, favourites and other interactions to understand which materials are useful and to improve the service. Technical request information may also be logged for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. The current site does not require third-party advertising cookies to provide these features.
8. Why we use information
Information may be processed where it is necessary to provide an account or membership you requested, to operate and secure the website, to respond to enquiries, to maintain appropriate business/payment records, to improve resources and services, to send communications you requested, or where we have another lawful basis under applicable UK data-protection law.
9. Service providers
We may use trusted providers for hosting, payment processing, email delivery, security and technical support. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their service. PayPal also processes information under its own privacy terms when you use PayPal checkout.
10. International processing
Some service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, the relevant provider is expected to use an appropriate legal mechanism or safeguard for international transfers where required.

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including account administration, security, support, legal and accounting requirements. 14. Children and pupil data
Maths Teacher Hub is primarily a resource and membership service for teachers and tutors. Users should not submit unnecessary personal information about pupils through contact forms, reports or resource tools.
15. Cookies and browser storage
The site uses essential session/authentication technology and limited local browser storage needed for features such as keeping you signed in and remembering that the essential-cookie notice has been acknowledged. See the Cookie Policy.

This policy may be updated as the service or providers change. The latest version will be published here with the updated date.
17. Contact and complaints
